The work on European legal policy endeavours to highlight the interdisciplinary lines of connection in order to gain a socially informed perspective on transnational democratisation approaches and to refer to the ideal of a socially just transnational constitutional law committed to human rights and the protection of ecological foundations and addressing fundamental questions of democratic and peaceful governance.


Transnational Force of Law (TFL)

Funded by the European Research Council (ERC) until the end of 2020 under the direction of Professor Andreas Fischer-Lescano.

The project examines the fundamental changes in law in the transnational constellation.

Cooperation project of Prof. Dr. Andreas Fischer-Lescano. LL.M. (EUI Florence), University of Bremen with Dr. Alex Valle Franco from the IAEN in Quito, Ecuador, funded by the DFG.

The project will investigate the possibility of promoting climate and environmental protection through an extension of legal personality.
