Installation mechanic

Installation mechanics for plumbing, heating, and air conditioning technology plan and install complex equipment and systems for the supply systems of buildings. In addition, they are responsible for maintenance and service. Furthermore, they advise and instruct customers, process orders, and transfer the equipment and systems to the respective parties.

Duties include:

  • Applying the dimensions from technical documentation to components

  • Selecting suitable pipes, shaped pieces, fittings, sheets, and profiles

  • Making shaped pipe pieces such as bends or branches, e. g., with cold or hot bending, expanding, flaring, and thread cutting

  • Preparing to lay pipes, e. g., creating wall and ceiling openings

  • Cleaning equipment parts and pipelines

Bookbinder

Bookbinders who specialize in one-off and special purpose production work in workshops to make one-of-a-kind books and books printed in small runs. They repair damaged books and maps as well as individual pages, and bind collections of loose pages and trade journals into books. Electronics technicians for operating technology assemble systems and installations for energy technology, and for measuring and control technology. Warehouse specialists accept goods and store them properly. They prepare deliveries for shipment and forward goods to the appropriate location in the company. In the warehouse, they receive goods, check them and sort them, store them, and group consignments together.
