WHY are there free books and magazines at the Landeszentrale für politische Bildung?
HERE’S WHY – The Landeszentrale für politische Bildung (state agency for civic education) has a mission of informing all residents of the state of Bremen about politics, encouraging them to participate, and inspiring them about democracy. The Landeszentrale is not specific to any political party and is politically neutral. It reaches many residents of the state of Bremen through numerous books and magazines about many different political topics. These books and magazines are given out free of charge.
WHY is there a bit of the University of Bremen at the Landeszentrale für politische Bildung?
HERE’S WHY – The Landeszentrale cooperates and connects with many institutions involved in civic education. It also works with the University of Bremen, which for example educates future civics teachers and acts as an important partner in Bremen’s political-education landscape.
