About this Person

Nancy is a final year Kenyan female Ph.D. researcher in Marine Biogeochemistry and Geology at the Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research (ZMT), in Germany. For the past three years, Nancy has been single-parenting her now 5-year-old daughter and virtually parenting two teenage boys alongside her PhD research, which involved fieldwork in Kenya and Laboratory work at ZMT. Additionally, Nancy is also the Co-Founder and Director at ERACOMA-Kenya where she has been coordinating community conservation projects, and conducting environmental educator and awareness, and field supervision and mentorship programs for Environmental Scientists.
