Postal voting
Although the 2026 student council elections are in-person elections, with voting taking place in one of the polling stations located across the campus, it is also possible to apply for postal voting:
Postal delivery of voting documents: Applications for postal voting documents must be submitted to the Election Committee (wahlleit@uni-bremen.de) by 12:00 on 1 June 2026. To apply, you must use your personal University of Bremen email address and attach your enrollment certificate.
On-site application: Postal voting documents can be collected in person from the Returning Officer until 5 June 2026, 3.00 pm. You must present your student ID card (via the Campus App or the replacement document for the digital student ID card). Please give advance notice if possible. You can then vote on the spot and hand in your postal ballot if you wish.
Please bear in mind that postal voting documents can be sent out or handed over no earlier than the last week of May. This is due to the deadlines set out in the electoral regulations (submission and approval of nominations, etc.) and the subsequent printing of the ballot papers.
Important: If you are voting by post, the ballot paper and polling card must reach the Returning Officer (VWG building, room 2190) in the special postal voting envelope by 3.00 pm latest on the final day of the election, 12 June 2026. Further Information can be found in postal voting documents.
