Human Resources Development

Human Resources Development at the University of Bremen initiates, manages and supports the skills development of all employees in research, teaching, administration and technology. Systematic specialist and management trainee development in the academic and non-academic areas, the implementation of support programmes for various status groups and the promotion of organisational change processes are the key areas of design and action of personnel development.

Compass of Values

The University of Bremen’s Values Compass sets out our shared and aspirational values, defines them and makes them clear. It provides us with guidance and reassurance regarding our own conduct, lays the foundation for treating one another with respect, and shows us what we can rely on.

Annual appraisals

In 2011, the University of Bremen introduced the annual appraisal as a key tool for employee development and management for all employees. To support this, the Human Resources Development department regularly organises workshops and information sessions.
