Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg – Northwest Alliance

The Soda Lab regularly collaborates with the University of Oldenburg. The Soda Lab thus provides an opportunity for regular exchange on innovative methods between the universities of the Northwest Alliance. This collaboration is characterised in particular by the close ties to Prof. Dr Marius Sältzer, who has already given several lectures as part of the Soda Lab.

Carl von Ossietzky University was founded in 1973, making it one of Germany's younger universities. Its goal is to find answers to the big questions facing society in the 21st century through cutting-edge interdisciplinary research and teaching.

Data Science Center University Bremen (DSC)

Within the University of Bremen the Soda Lab collaborates with the Data Science Center Bremen. Since the beginning of the lecture series, there has been a regular exchange of methods and resources, as well as support for data-related challenges. This collaboration has brought relevant data-related expertise into the debate. At the same time, the Data Science Center gains valuable insights into the current needs and challenges faced by researchers. Together, we foster an exchange that not only enables technical solutions but also actively shapes research—to the benefit of both sides.

The DSC was founded as an interdisciplinary institute for data science at the University of Bremen in October 2019 with the support of the state of Bremen. The DSC connects domain specialists from economics, natural sciences, humanities, engineering, life sciences or sociology with methodological experts from mathematics, statistics, and computer sciences to facilitate the emergence of cross-cutting research projects and fields.
