WHY does unifreunde support research and teaching in Bremen?

HERE’S WHY – Communicating the special significance of academia has been the focus of our work since we were founded in 1961. We see ourselves as networkers and acquaint local residents, politicians, and business representatives with academia in Bremen through different event formats and projects. Our goal is to provide lasting support for Bremen’s development as a location for academia and science.

WHY is there a bit of the University of Bremen in unifreunde?

HERE’S WHY – As a charitable organization, we promote the academic research work and teaching at universities in Bremen. The University of Bremen Foundation was established out of the unifreunde foundation in 2009. Using our event formats and projects, which include awarding the Bremen Study and Berninghausen Prizes and holding the Conrad Naber Lecture “Visions”, we partner with academia to provide information about correlations and connections that can influence us and our future significantly.
