The fixed-term contract is subject to the scientific qualification according to the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (WissZeitVG), §2 (1). Therefore, applicants can only be considered if they have the respective scope of qualification periods according to § 2 (1) WissZeitVG.
 

Job Description

The Digital Media Lab conducts research in the area of human-computer interaction on topics such as virtual reality and natural user interfaces, intraoperative interaction, exergames, entertainment computing and tangible interaction.


The applicant is supposed to gain further qualifications in the areas of entertainment computing, exergames and sports applications with the aim of gaining a teaching qualification and acquiring third-party funding. In addition, habilitation is possible if required. Responsibilities include supporting the graduate program "Empowering Digital Media" in the organization and supervision of doctoral students. In addition, the position involves participation in teaching to the extent of 4 SWS and collaboration in third-party funded projects, taking into account the need for qualification.
 

Requirements:

- Completed academic university studies (Master or comparable degree) in Computer Science / Digital Media or related fields.
- Very good doctoral degree in the above-mentioned areas or in comparable areas.
- Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Human-Computer Interaction, Entertainment Computing, Exergames, and Applications in Sports.
- Commitment to interdisciplinary, team-based research
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
