Content and objectives

The HAIFIVE project focuses on the development of an AI-based tool for the automated evaluation of teaching/learning videos. The idea and basis for this originated at the “AI in Education” hackathon at the University of Twente in 2023: The IMPACT team participated together with colleagues from the University of Twente and developed a preliminary prototype for a dashboard for AI-driven feedback on the multimodal and didactic quality of tutorials, online lectures, and explanatory videos. The cross-border team won the hackathon and subsequently agreed on a project to bring the prototype to maturity.

The team at the University of Bremen will develop an AI tool with a dashboard that has several sub-functions. To this end, evaluation criteria will first be defined, then the dashboard design will be finalized, and the prototype will be developed and tested step by step. The goal is to deliver a functioning prototype that meets the previously defined requirements for the automated and AI-supported evaluation of teaching/learning videos.
