Gender Diversity in the Workplace - Online Workshop for Colleagues and Managers
Friday, May 23rd - 1:00 to 1:50 PM
Since the beginning of 2019, employers have been advertising their job openings with the phrase "female, male, diverse." "Diverse" is a gender category in civil status law, representing the constitutionally guaranteed right to personal development and explicit recognition in everyday life. But what does it mean in the workplace? Gender diversity has always been a part of human reality, but here in Europe it has long been made invisible. Many colleagues and managers lack the tools and practices to address it. As a result, some experience irritation, insecurity or tension and want to find a more relaxed way to approach the topic.
This online session will address the following questions
- What does non-binary mean for my daily work as a colleague or manager?
- Are there differences and similarities between "inter*" and "non-binary" that I need to know about?
- And why is non-discriminatory interaction in the workplace also a health protection measure?
The 50-minute workshop will consist of an anonymous, interactive presentation followed by time for discussion and listening. It will be held in German, using non-expert language. Questions and exchanges can also take place in written form or in English. The camera may be turned off.
The Compatibility Week team will be happy to provide further details on technical accessibility options.
Presentation Language: German
This presentation will take place online.
