About
During the absence of Prof. Dr. Sarianna Lundan, Prof. Dr. Peter M. Bican has taken over as professor (Vertretungsprofessur) for International Management & Governance at the University of Bremen, effective April 1st, 2024.
Prof. Bican studied law at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU). After the legal preparatory service and an MBA in Business Integration at the Julius-Maximilians University of Würzburg, Germany, and the Boston University, Questrom School of Business, USA, he joined Deloitte in Luxembourg und PwC in Frankfurt, Germany.
After his education as Lawyer, MBA, and Certified Accountant (FCCA), he worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Technology- and Innovation Management at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar, Germany, where he also obtained his PhD. After serving as an Akademischer Rat and professor (Vertretungsprofessur) at the Chair of Technology Management at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, he conducted research as an Affiliated Researcher at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, USA.
His research focuses on internationalization and strategy for sustainable management of Research and Development (R&D) in technology-oriented companies, emphasizing the strategic management of intellectual property, entrepreneurship, and digitalization.
