The working group Latin American History of the History Department at the University of Bremen has been internationally focused in research and teaching, and is engaged in a constant exchange with renowned foreign academics and universities. These international contacts have been continuously expanded and were increasingly institutionalized. Agreements with foreign universities offer for interested students an excellent opportunity to become acquainted with other academic cultures and to gain experiences abroad. In addition, the Latin American History encourages networking on an international level by bringing together visiting scholars from different countries and stimulating innovative research and teaching cooperation projects, for example through interactive web-seminars.
