Virtual Talk at Munich School

As part of the science communication strategy of the field of Organizational Psychology, Dr. Julian Decius gave a virtual lecture to students of the Gymnasium Nymphenburger Schulen (Munich). The invitation from the school was facilitated by the BMBF-funded networking project "Forschungsbörse". The keynote speech by Dr. Decius focused on "Metamorphoses of the world of work", with a particular focus on the opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence and lifelong, work-related learning. Afterwards, the students made extensive use of the opportunity to ask more in-depth questions.

The goal of this thematic focus is to examine conducive conditions for work-related learning, employability, and organizational development, both by managers (e.g., shaping learning culture) and by employees (e.g., job crafting).

This topic is dedicated to the question of how employees in dynamic work environments can be empowered to learn "what they really, really want" in a self-directed way. The "Learning Opportunities Perception Potential", which helps employees to grasp learning opportunities, is considered crucial here.
