Children on campus

Nursing and Nappy-Changing-Facilities

In almost every building there is a nappy-changing facility – these are mainly located in the accessible toilets, if this is not possible, they are usually found in the women’s restrooms.

The list of nappy-changing facilities (in German) provides information about where there are nappy-changing facilities in which buildings. Nursing rooms are located in GW2 building (first aid room of GW2, please collect your key from the checkout in the cafeteria) and in the first aid room of the MZH building (Room 1170).

Family Room

The family room is located directly opposite the Mensa cafeteria in the former KiTa building, right next to several childcare facilities. Equipped with sofas, tables, and toys, the family room offers parents and children enough space to take a break, to study with their children, or to meet fellow students.

Toy Boxes to Borrow

Childcare workers on strike? School is closed? Nanny canceled last minute? There are many reasons why students or employees of the University of Bremen are forced to spontaneously take their child to the campus.
To make sure that such a day is as relaxed as possible for the children as well as for the parents, there are toy boxes to borrow at several locations on the university campus.

Would your department like to have a toy box? Then contact Ms. Abdel Wahed from the Administrative Unit 08 (samira.abdel.wahedprotect me ?!vw.uni-bremenprotect me ?!.de).
