"First-class education, teaching and research in physics and electrical engineering is our mission. We work on current developments and challenges that society is facing, such as atmospheric pollution, the need for a sustainable energy supply, next-generation mobile communication standards, highly efficient light sources and industry 4.0.
Our faculty counts about 1,300 students in a dozen undergraduate and graduate programmes, more than 30 professors and a staff of over 300 in science and technical support. Twelve research institutes contribute to interdisciplinary and international science advances, with the human working and living conditions being the focus of our research."
