Teaching writing skills is also a central component of university teaching. The decentralized writing support provides support through interventions in courses and advice on writing didactics.

PhD-students are very welcome at the writing consultation!

University-wide support services

• The Studierwerkstatt offers students interdisciplinary support in the areas of study methods and personality, communication, academic work and writing. It also trains tutors and writing coaches.
• At the Language Centre of the Universities in the Land of Bremen (SZHB), students and academics receive support for academic writing in English as a foreign language. For students at the University of Bremen, the Language Centre also offers free courses to promote academic multilingualism as well as English writing advice and further offers for academics.
• The Bremen State and University Library offers guided tours, training courses and crowd writing as well as a student consultation hour on the topic of literature research.
• BYRD Bremen Early Career Researcher Development supports doctoral candidates with advice and a wide range of free qualification workshops, including on academic writing.
