Jarina Kühn new PhD candidate

Since February 01, 2019, Jarina Kühn is new PhD candidate in the working group Innovation and Structural Change.

She will be engaged in the joint research project “Mod-Block-GDR” that is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and will do her dissertation in this context. Her empirical research will deal with the entrepreneurial behaviour of the cohort born between 1975 and 1990 in East Germany, the so-called “turn-generation”. The question is whether and in how far the system break experience has an impact on entrepreneurial behaviour. This research will be carried out in close scientific cooperation with one of the project partners, the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt/Oder, which will also allow a comparison to the situation in Poland.

Jarina Kühn studied business administration (B.Sc.) at the University of Cologne. In January 2019, she graduated very successfully with her master in Business Psychology (M.Sc.) at the University of Bremen. Her focus area as a student of business psychology was intercultural affairs. Within the master’s programme she spent one semester as an exchange student at the University of the Free State in South Africa, a partner university of the University of Bremen.

We warmly welcome Jarina Kühn as a member of the working group.
