Jessica Birkholz, Susanna Bolz und Philip Kerner present at the EAEPE Conference 2023

From September 13 to 15, the 35th international EAEPE conference took place at Leeds University Business School in Leeds (UK). From the working group Jessica Birkholz, Susanna Bolz, and Philip Kerner participated in the conference and presented their current research.

Due to its open-topic design, the conference offered the opportunity to discuss numerous research topics with an international audience and to illuminate them from a wide variety of perspectives.

Jessica Birkholz and Philip Kerner gave a presentation entitled "Uncertainty and the Transition to Green Hydrogen." Also attending the conference was Diletta Abbonato (University of Strasbourg), who completed a three-month research stay in our working group this year. She presented a joint project with Philip Kerner and Jessica Birkholz on "The Evolution of Narratives in Green Hydrogen Research", which was started during her research stay at the University of Bremen.  Both research papers are done within the hyBit project and deal with the quantitative analysis of narratives in relation to green technologies. For this, narratives in scientific texts and press releases are identified using Natural Language Processing and are further analyzed. Susanna Bolz presented her work on "The effect of local institutions on environmental innovation adoption in Germany", which is part of her dissertation project.

We thank all participants for the interesting exchange, critical feedback, and helpful comments.
