Thanks to its open-topic design, the conference provided an opportunity to discuss current research with a broad audience of researchers with different substantive orientations.

Philip Kerner presented a research project in collaboration with Martin Kalthaus (Friedrich Schiller University Jena) and Tobias Wendler entitled "Institutions and the Natural Resource - Economic Growth Nexus".  In this research paper, they address the relationship between economic growth and the use of different types of natural resources, and the influence of the policy framework on this relationship.
