Most of IES graduates go on to study a Masters program. They are able to access a broad range of MA programs in politics, social sciences, history, cultural history, language and literature, as well as area studies (e.g. in East European studies).
The interdisciplinary and international orientation of the study program facilitates the access to a MA program both in Germany and abroad. Particularly brilliant MA graduates can subsequently enroll in a doctoral program and thereby prepare for a career in academia. In the section “career” former IES students provide an overview of their professional experiences and how they went about building their career (in German).
