Bachelor-/Master Thesis

To register your bachelor thesis / master thesis, you must submit an application for admission to the bachelor thesis examination to the Central Examinations Office (ZPA).
Please note that all prerequisites must be fulfilled in strict accordance with the applicable and currently valid examination regulations.
Once your application has been reviewed and approved, you will receive a letter of acceptance stating the deadline for handing in your thesis, and the processing time will begin. The processing time is in accordance with the rules laid down in the subject-specific examination regulations.
Should you be taken ill during the processing time, you can submit a medical certificate (in original) together with the sick leave form to the ZPA. The processing period will be extended by the same period of time as your sick leave. The application and the medical certificate must be submitted to the ZPA without delay. The processing time will be extended accordingly and you will receive a notification with the new deadline.

Be sure to hand in the bachelor thesis / master thesis on time to the ZPA, as shown in the admission letter. As a rule, 3 bound copies and an electronic version are to be submitted.

Please make sure that the declaration must be included in every copy of your bachelor thesis / master thesis.

You can hand in your bachelor thesis / master thesis personally during opening hours of the service center or drop it into the mailbox in the entrance area to the ZPA. If the due date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, the deadline is postponed to the following working day.

After reviewing the formalities, your bachelor thesis / master thesis will be sent to the supervisors for evaluation. Please make sure that the ZPA has the address of any external supervisors.
