Jessica Birkholz with a BremenIDEA stipend at University of Zaragoza

From October 4 to November 4, 2021, Jessica Birkholz, research associate and PhD student in the research group "Innovation and Structural Change", completed a research stay at the Department of Economic Analysis at University of Zaragoza.

During her stay, she gave a presentation on the research paper "The transformation of regional knowledge bases: The role of entrepreneurial experimentation and regional absorptive capacity", at a research seminar of the department. Furthermore, Jessica Birkholz used the stay in Zaragoza to discuss and further develop her dissertation project research with several colleagues from University of Zaragoza.
The research stay was funded on a competitive basis by the funding line "BremenIDEA" of the Central Research Development Fund (CRDF) at the University of Bremen. Bremen International Doctoral Education Action (BremenIDEA) is a program to support research stays for doctoral students.
