From 27 to 28 April 2023, an EAEPE RA [X] Paper Development Workshop on “Twin-Transition - towards an in-depth understanding of green and digital transformation processes in rural regions vs. urbanized regions” took place in Stuttgart. The workshop was jointly organized by researchers from the University of Siegen, the University of Hohenheim and the Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Württemberg (ZSW). Innovation and regional researchers from Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, and Norway came together to discuss their latest research results and ideas.

Susanna Bolz and Jessica Birkholz from the working group of Economics of Innovation and Structural Change gave presentations on topics related to the green transformation in German regions. Susanna Bolz presented the current status of her research paper “Regional determinants of environmental innovation adoption in Germany” and Jessica Birkholz presented a research paper that is being developed in cooperation with Philip Kerner entitled “Uncertainty and the Transition to Green Hydrogen”.
