Intermediate Reports - what should they contain?

Intermediate report 1 (approx. 2 months after start of the thesis):

Introduction to topic of the thesis (state of the art, task description), progress report - current status, time plan.

Intermediate report 2 (approx. 4 months after start of the thesis):

Short summary of first intermediate report, current progress report, (updated) time plan, planned structure of the written thesis.
