Bosch Research visits CVT and ESECS

Research engineers from Bosch Research in Renningen visited the University of Bremen for a cooperation project between the Chemical Process Engieneering group (CVT) and the Energy Storage and Energy Conversion Systems group (ESECS).

Since beginning of 2023 a cooperation project between Bosch Research, the CVT and the ESECS is running about the simulation of corrosion processes with focus on passive flm growth and breakdown. The project is supervised by Ingmar (CVT), Fabio La Mantia (ESECS) and Alexander Fuchs (Bosch). Passive films play an important role in many applications as construction work, electric devices or electrocatalysts. A comprehensive model of passive film growth, properties and possible breakdon can safe countless hours in the lab and make future products more reliable. The current project is based on works of IngmarBösing, Jorg Thöming and Fabio La Mantia, the project meeting at 31.07 in Bremen was the first in person meeting of all participants. In addition to scientifc discussions Torsten Trossmann gave a talk about industrial research at Bosch Research and Nikos Alexiadis held a presentation about his PhD topic.
