Having Your Content Reviewed for Accessibility

Feel free to send us your course materials and we will check it for accessibility

In order to support you in creating accessible digital course content in the upcoming hybrid semester, we will review your existing materials (e.g. PDFs, Word documents, PowerPoints, websites, videos) upon request. You will receive detailed feedback on any existing accessibility issues, advice on how you can remove them, and, depending on the scope, we may even implement the changes for you.

These services are aimed at all university members (e.g. students, administrative staff) who want to improve the accessibility of their materials.

If you wish to make use of this offer, please follow the steps below:

  1. Email us at: ballonprotect me ?!uni-bremenprotect me ?!.de (note: As of 31 December 2013, this e-mail address can no longer be reached due to the end of the project.)
  2. Please attach your files to the email, if they are not too big, or send us a link to the Seafile document.
  3. You will receive a confirmation email.
  4. The BALLON team will review your content and get back to you via email, providing you with specific feedback on the accessibility of your materials. In addition, we will provide you with tips and web links on how to put our suggestions into practice and, if possible, we may even implement them directly if you wish so. Please be aware that checking your documents may take a few days.
