Die dritte Postdoc Appreciation Week (PAW) in Deutschland findet vom 16. bis zum 20. September 2024 statt. Sie macht die Leistungen von Postdocs in Forschung und Lehre, aber auch ihre Bedarfe, nochmal konkreter sichtbar und bietet Postdocs in ganz Deutschland vielfältige Veranstaltungen online und in Präsenz. BYRD beteiligt sich dieses Jahr mit dem Workshop "Career Choices".

26 September 2024: International PhD Students' Meeting at Haus am Walde
Our International PhD Students' Meeting is a great occasion to meet fellow doctoral researchers, especially for newcomers, and to ask the BYRD team all sorts of questions. Germans who want to meet their international fellows are also very welcome!

15. + 16. October 2024: Good Scientific Practice – Protecting Research Integrity
The major objective of the workshop “Good Scientific Practice” is to know and understand the basic rules and values of the responsible conduct of research in all its stages, according to local, national and international regulations and guidelines. The participants will explore the differences and grey areas between good scientific practice, questionable research practice and scientific misconduct. They will learn how misconduct can be recognized and prevented, and how it should be addressed and dealt with in case it occurs, and what damage it can cause if handled improperly.
