The 8th Maritime Law Conference on 6 November 2025 was held for the first time at the Domshof premises. Prof. Calliess und PD Dr. Markus acted as scientific advisors of the Maritime Law Research Network at the conference.

The students Claudius Maximilian Dirks and Arap Ali Yilmaz of the University of Bremen have won the 14th Justus Liebig Moot Court, which was held as a nationwide student competition at the University of Giessen on 23 and 24 July 2025.
