Quantum Technologies and Quantum Computing in Particle Physics

The presentation will start with a brief introduction into the field of Quantum Technologies and describe the research aspects that are addressed at DESY (Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron). Examples and use cases will be given in the field of Elementary Particle Physics. Especially in Quantum Machine Learning new results indicate noise robustness in training and inference. With this property the present, still noisy, Quantum Computers can be employed for small prototype models to explore the potential and the limitations in Quantum Computing.
