- On 3 and 4 May 2024, Prof. Geneuss takes part in the constitutional criminal law working group in Basel teil, moderating the pane on the Roel of hybrid criminal courts in the prosecution of international criminal offences.

On 24 March 2024, Prof. Geneuss takes part in the Conference "Subjektive Zurechnung in der internationalen Strafrechtsdogmatik" at the Fudan Universität in Shanghai (China) with a commentary.
- The symposium on "Twenty Years of the German Code of Crimes Against International Law", edited by Prof. Geneuss and Prof. Jeßberger (HU Berlin) has been published in Journal of International Criminal Justice 4/2023.
- On 13 March 2024, Prof. Geneuss holds a guest lecture on "German Investigations of the Crimes Committed in International Conflicts" within the framework of theTraining School "Mass Atrocities and Protection of Victims: Current Conflicts and Political and Legal Responses" at IUC Dubrovnik (Croatia).
- On 20 February 2024, Prof. Geneuss takes part in the 3rd Consultation of the EKD-Friedenswerkstatt "Recht und Frieden" at the Evangelische Akademie Bad Boll with an input on "Rolle und Kritik an der Internationalen Strafgerichtsbarkeit".

Julia Geneuss is Professor of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law, International and European Criminal Law, Criminal Information Law and Comparative Law at the Faculty of Law of Universität Bremen.
Her main fields of research are German, International and European criminal law, with a specific focus on the prosecution of crimes under international law on the domestic level, in particular in Germany. She also works in the area of digitalization and criminal law, in particular on the protection of informational privacy and the assessment of online communication by criminal law.

Current research projects deal with
- questions at the intersection of (German) international criminal law and counter-terrorism criminal law („Terrorismusvölkerstrafrecht“);
- the need for international criminal law provisions dealing with widespread and systematic data violations (“Daten(wirtschafts)völkerstrafrecht”);
- tthe practice of sentencing in German international criminal proceedings;
- the crime of enforced disappearance.
