Antje Grotheer

President of Bremen Parliament

Antje Grotheer was born on 25 January 1967 in Bremen, she is married, has two children and two grown-up foster children. After her Abitur at the School Centrre Alwin-Lonke-Straße she studied law at the University of Bremen. In 1991, she completed the First State Examination in Law, in 1997, the Second State Examination in Law.

Up to 2003, she worked as a lawyer and, between 2000 and 2003, at the same time as office manager and public relations advisor for the SPD Bremen. Following this, she was a personal advisor of the Senator for Education and Science and subsequently worked in the same position for the Senator for Internal Affairs and Sports, from 2008 as head of section.
