State examination

University law studies are the first part of judicial training. The regular period of study is four years (eight semesters) and studies are completed with the "First Law Examination"  (formerly "State Examination").

Law as a Complementary Subject can be studied at the University of Bremen as part of a Two-Subject-Bachelor course.

Doctoral Studies

Ph.D. procedures at the University of Bremen are based on the Regulations for Completion of a Doctoral Degree of the respective faculties. The Ph.D. procedure will be initiated by acceptance as a doctoral student at the faculty by the respective Ph.D. commission.
