Career

Under the common frame of MAPEX and in collaboration with the central university services, the participating faculties and institutes offer a number of supporting measures. These measures address school pupils, undergraduate students as well as all levels of Early Career Researchers (ECR) all the way up to a professorship. In this context we pay special attention to equal opportunity and diversity issues.

Equal Opportunity and Diversity

The role of MAPEX is to consolidate and further develop equal opportunity measures from the running coordinated DFG programmes in a way that also researchers not involved in these programmes can profit from them. Therefore, regular meetings of a core group including all equal opportunity and diversity representatives of the coordinated projects, the faculties, and the whole university take place.

Study Programmes

The ProMat Master's programme is designed for students of STEM disciplines who are aiming for a scientific career and already possess a concrete idea of their future scientific field.
Within a given module structure, this group of people will be given the opportunity to put together an individual curriculum from a wide range of courses offered in existing Master's programmes within the disciplines of MAPEX.

The five STEM faculties of the University of Bremen offer a broad portfolio of study programmes.
