Central topics of our research are currently:
- Global Tobacco – tobacco consumption, tobacco control and cessation in LMIC with a focus on South Asia
- Adaption to climate change and health with focus on East Asia and Europe
- Medical Anthropology in Global Health
- Neglected Tropical Diseases in Pakistan
Our methodological expertise lies particularly in the area of qualitative research and includes the conception, evaluation, and implementation of complex interventions, the assessment of political strategies as well as the qualitative evaluation of pragmatic randomized controlled trials. As a cross-cutting topic, we address issues of diversity and intersectionality in global health research through capacity building and collaborations with the global south.
