The IPP cooperates with partners in the health sciences in Bremen, e.g. with the

Together with other university institutes, the IPP forms the scientific focus Health Sciences, one of the six scientific foci of the University of Bremen. This has resulted in the Leibniz ScienceCampus Digital Public Health Bremen. The Leibniz Institute for Prevention Research and Epidemiology (BIPS), the Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Medicine MEVIS, the IPP and other departments and institutes of the University of Bremen cooperate here.

The IPP is a network partner in the Integrated Health Campus Bremen and involved in the research cluster "Healthy City Bremen: Interprofessional, Digital, Sustainable" as a cooperation of all eight department heads of the IPP with the SOCIUM, BIPS, Bremen University of Applied Sciences and the Apollon University of Health Sciences.

The IPP represents the institutional membership of the University of Bremen in:

- German Public Health Association (DGPH) (Prof. Dr. Ansgar Gerhardus)

- German Society of Nursing Science (DGP) (Prof. Dr. Karin Wolf-Ostermann)

The Department of Social Epidemiology of the IPP forms the WHO Collaborating Centre for Environmental Health Inequalities. Regular international collaborative relationships also exist with scientific institutions and universities in the Netherlands, Italy, Great Britain, Norway, Poland, Canada, USA, China and Australia.
