Prof. Dr. Ingrid Darmann-Finck from the Institute of Public Health and Nursing Research at the University of Bremen was Deputy Chairwoman for five years

On 14.11.2023, Federal Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Karl Lauterbach, together with State Secretary Sven Lehmann from the Federal Ministry of Family Affairs and Claudia Moll, the Federal Commissioner for Nursing, bid farewell to the previous members of the expert commission and thanked them for their work.
On 20.11.2023, the first term of the expert commission according to § 53 PflBG ends. The task of the expert commission, which initially consisted of eleven honorary members, is to develop framework curricula and framework training plans with a recommending effect for nursing training. These provide guidance for the development of school curricula and institution-specific training plans. Prof. Dr. Ingrid Darmann-Finck was deputy chair of the expert commission for five years.
In addition to the framework plans, the commission also developed standardized modules for the acquisition of extended curative competencies. The commission presented Minister Lauterbach and State Secretary Lehmann with the updated framework training plans as part of the adoption ceremony. "The expert commission has anchored not only nursing didactics but also nursing science cornerstones in the framework plans and the standardized modules, which contribute to the professionalization of the nursing profession," commented Ingrid Darmann-Finck on the work of the expert commission.
