WCTRS is one of the biggest societies within transportation research, with representatives in 67 countries around the World. The positions broaden the outreach of Uni Bremen as they provide a strong platform for researchers and educators from all over the world to exchange knowledge on important transport and logistics related matters from the German perspective. With the new role, the professorship intends to induce emerging opportunities within transportation research in the Bremen region, and in Germany. Prof. Kinra will also be co-chairing the SIG (Special Interest Group) B1– Logistics and Freight Transport Operations on Supply Chain Management in the future.
