Introduction
Sönke Duetsch has been working on his doctorate cooperatively and cumulatively as an external doctoral candidate at LEMEX, Business Creation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Bremen and at Bremen University of Applied Sciences under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jörg Freiling and Prof. Dr. Jens Eschenbächer since 2023.
His research focuses primarily on non-family business succession and entrepreneurship through acquisition concepts. Sönke is himself the owner of several companies, which he has either taken over as part of company successions or founded himself. Before becoming an independent entrepreneur, he worked for 10 years in the energy industry, where he gained extensive specialist and management experience, most recently as an authorized signatory and managing director in the wastewater industry. Sönke is currently involved in the future concepts bremen (fcb) project and works at the interface between theory and practice.
