Inno-Quarter

InnoQuarter - The project for the promotion of founders from the region
You are working on a start-up idea, want to test your prototype early on and get feedback from potential customers? Or have you already founded a company and are interested in customers' opinions on your products and services for further development according to market needs? Then the InnoQuarter project is worth a look!
InnoQuarter is an EU-funded innovation quarter and part of the INTERREG Northsea Region program, which aims to promote innovation and sustainable economic growth in the North Sea region.
The InnoQuarter project aims to accelerate the development and introduction of startup products and services. This project is driven by LEMEX in collaboration with both regional actors, such as the M01N Startup Camp, the Breminale Festival, the Starthaus and the Senatorial Authority for Economics, Labour and Europe, as well as international practice and research partners in Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands.
What is the concept of InnoQuarter?
Nine out of ten innovations fail. Often because a prototype is not tested sufficiently before it is brought to market or products and services are offered for which there is no market demand. To avoid this problem, it is important to take the opinions of potential customers into account as early as the development phase of the company's own business models. Especially in the development phase, however, there is often the difficulty of not being able to test a business idea under realistic conditions - the InnoQuarter project offers a solution to this problem. By using festivals both as "living labs" and as development catalysts, founders can obtain direct customer feedback and ultimately reduce the cost of investment.
Innoquarter was also present at the university's Open Campus 2021.
Here you can take a look at the "virtual pagoda" of the project. Furthermore, more information can be found on the website www.innoquarter.eu.
Final Results of 5 years Inno-Quarter!
After five years of intensive, international research, the transfer results can be seen.
A summary of results through quotes and graphics can be viewed via the Inno-Quarter Infographic paper.
The e-Guidance worksheets help festival organizers and institutions who want to organize an Inno-Quarter at a festival with the preparation and implementation. The worksheets provide support to organizers on what aspects to consider at different stages. The worksheets are based on findings from interviews with festival organizers, Inno-Brokers and coaches working behind the scenes of an Inno-Quarter. The worksheets can be seen as a practical supplement to the Inno-Quarter Final Report and provide a guide for setting up an Inno-Quarter at a festival.
The more in-depth final report explains the entire Inno-Quarter project (2018-2022), including its goals, scope, and mechanisms. The potential of the Inno-Quarter approach for regional innovation support is divided into three categories: regional entrepreneurial human capital, upscaling of the Inno-Quarter method, and perceptibility of regional innovation. The main findings from the project on the implementation of the Inno-Quarter mechanism are described in more detail. Further, the sustainable implementation of the Inno-Quarter mechanism is discussed.
