Leon Marquardt has been a research assistant and doctoral candidate at the Chair of Small Business, Start-ups and Entrepreneurship (LEMEX) at the University of Bremen under Prof. Dr. Jörg Freiling since October 2020. As a member of the ‘Diginomics’ graduate group, his research focuses on the interfaces between digitalisation and entrepreneurship, with an emphasis on entrepreneurial ecosystems, digital entrepreneurship and rural entrepreneurship.

Furthermore, he coaches and supports bachelor's and master's students in various courses. Within this transfer project, he implements practical formats and collaborations with regional partners from the field in order to bridge the gap between science and practice.
