Description
The S3-Guideline "Epidemiology, Diagnosis, Therapy Prevention and Management of Bacterial, Ambulatory and Inpatient Acquired Urinary Tract Infections in Adult Patients" will be completely revised to reflect the latest evidence in the clinical recommendations and statements.
In addition, the focus of the guidelines will be revised to include chapters on "Catheter-associated urinary tract infections" and additional consideration of geriatric patients.
Methods used include: systematic literature searches, evidence review and appraisal, determination of confidence in the evidence (using GRADE methodology), formulation and agreement of recommendations and statements using formal consensus building.
