Project Details
SHIFT2HEALTH
Description
Shift work constitutes an independent risk factor for overweight and obesity. Hence, the primary objective of this project is to formulate strategies aimed at helping shift workers adopt a health-promoting lifestyle, even amidst their irregular work schedules.
This initiative encompasses the collaboration of 7 countries and 15 institutions, operating under the auspices of Horizon Europe (https://shift2health.eu/). The University of Bremen, in partnership with ttz Bremerhaven, represents the German study center.
Commencing the project, an extensive cross-sectional survey will be conducted across five countries, encompassing shift workers from both the industrial and healthcare sectors. Subsequently, this survey data will inform the development of a complex intervention program, which will be subject to evaluation within the project's framework. The insights gained from this evaluation will be used to formulate and offer tailored strategies for various target groups.
