This fall, 24 doctoral students from the disciplines of health sciences, nursing science, psychology, and sports science are starting in the new Structured Doctoral Program in Health Sciences. They came together for the first time on November 13 and 14 for the introductory event. The introductory event focused on key topics related to the start of the doctoral program. The doctoral candidates discussed mutual expectations in the supervisory relationship, exchanged experiences with the exposé, and reflected on their motivation for pursuing a doctorate. Another focus was on how health promotion can be integrated from the outset and mental health strengthened during the doctoral phase. The workshop also offered a variety of opportunities for networking within the new group. The first day of the workshop was rounded off with a joint dinner.
The introductory course is designed not only to help doctoral students start their doctoral studies in a conscious and well-prepared manner, but also to network them across disciplines for their joint journey. The spokesperson team for the doctoral program, consisting of Prof. Dr. Birte Berger-Höger and Prof. Dr. Ansgar Gerhardus (both IPP), is responsible for the program together with coordinator Fabienne Schnepf. If you have any questions about the program or participation, please feel free to contact Fabienne Schnepf at any time. All doctoral students whose supervisors are members of the doctoral program are eligible to participate. Admission is possible on an ongoing basis and is granted by the spokesperson team upon application and consultation with the supervisors.
