Online Placement Test

Online Placement Test

Online placement test via the learning platform at the beginning of a learning unit (module, course, internship)

Before the start of a learning unit, the knowledge level of the participants is determined in the form of an online test.

  • Feedback for the teachers on existing competencies and diversity of the participants
  • Result-dependent focus in the lecture and adapted offer of tutorials and self-learning materials
  • Consideration and crediting of informal knowledge
  • Identification of suitable tutors
  • Before/after comparison of placement test and final examination (feedback on learning outcome)

The participants registered in the learning platform take part in a time and location independent online test (e.g. via an ILIAS test within Stud.IP) on a voluntary or mandatory basis. In addition to the overall result, the correct answer to the test questions and differentiated feedback on each answer option can be given optionally (e.g. reference to learning materials). Creation of the questions, administration of the test and result export/analysis are done independently by the teachers within the learning platform. If necessary, the placement test can be combined with a self-assessment (evaluation).

Consulting and training on organization, didactics of examinations and technical implementation

  • Support and information of the participants
  • Programming and quality control of questions and examination design
  • If necessary, re-evaluation of open questions
  • Administration of all functions in the learning management system
