B2 certificate English
Proficiency at level B2 can be demonstrated in the following ways:
- Through the German Abitur/Fachabitur (see box on the right)
- By obtaining a UNIcert II certificate at the SZHB
- Through other certificates and recognized language proficiency tests for university admission; see List of certificates and recognized language proficiency tests for university admission
C1 certificate English
Proficiency at level C1 can be demonstrated in the following ways:
- Through the German Abitur/Fachabitur (see box on the right)
- By obtaining the UNIcert III certificate from the SZHB
- Through other certificates and recognized language proficiency tests for university admission; see List of certificates and recognized language proficiency tests for university admission
Proof of B2/C1 proficiency through the German Abitur
Levels B2 and C1 can be demonstrated through the German Abitur or Fachabitur if the corresponding foreign language proficiency level is explicitly and exclusively noted on the certificate/diploma.
Note: These regulations regarding proof of language proficiency by means of the German Abitur/Fachabitur are valid for the admission process at the University of Bremen; other public universities in the state of Bremen may have different regulations in some cases. When applying to other public universities, we recommend consulting with the respective admissions offices regarding their specific requirements for admission.
