German courses in 2024
Face-to-face course
Our International Summer Schools are more than simply a language course. We also put together a multi-faceted cultural programme for you.
You learn German in the classroom and then apply your knowledge in practice. At beginners' level, you go into a café and order for the first time in German; at more advanced levels, you discuss various topics with German students. Experiencing Bremen 'live' is well worth the effort.
We will conduct the International Summer Courses in accordance with the corona regulations that are valid in Germany at the time of instruction.
We ask for your understanding that in case of a cancellation of the course (even at short notice, and regardless of whether the cancellation is initiated by a participant or by the University of Bremen), we cannot cover any additional costs incurred by the course registration. Should the University of Bremen cancel the course, we will of course refund the course fees.

Programme
Language course:
- 25 hours of teaching per week with language cafés and pronunciation training in the afternoons
Our Summer Schools are intended for:
- students of all subjects & disciplines
- anyone with a university entrance qualification
- university graduates.
Participants will be assigned to a particular course before the courses begin by means of an online placement test. Participants receive a Summer School language certificate on successful completion of the course and can also gain ECTS points (4 for 4 weeks).
