(Online) Language cafés

Are you interested in practising your spoken language skills and brushing up what you already know? Would you like to chat with others in a relaxed atmosphere, swap your ideas and opinions with them? Then why not drop in to one of the language cafés we are offering this semester?

Because here it's all about one thing: Talking, talking, talking :-)

Most of our cafés are now on summer break and will start again in October 2024!

Exceptions: German (B1/B2) and French - see below for more information.

On-site language cafés in winter semester 2024/25 at Bremen University and Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences

    How to register

Spontaneously to the language café? No problem! You can always just drop by and walk in.

Nevertheless, we recommend that you first register for all language cafés we offer at Bremen University. This will give you access to all café content on the SZHB Moodle learning platform.

    What does Moodle offer?

    •  Introductions, topics of conversation, organizational information, Zoom links (for virtual language cafés)
    •  the opportunity to get in touch with the tutor or contact other participants in the café

    Access to Moodle

    • If you are currently doing a language course which already uses Moodle, you can simply use your normal log-in details and register for the language café of your choice.
    • If you don't yet have a log-in for Moodle, you can register here. You will then receive your Moodle log-in and further information shortly before your café starts.

Please note: The cafés at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences do not use Moodle, here it is completely and without restriction: Just drop in and have fun!
