UNIcert III (C1)
Placement testing, course selection and test dates
Please take a placement test before selecting a course.
The following conditions apply for obtaining a UNIcert® III certificate:
- You must successfully complete at least two core modules leading to C1.2 in your chosen profile.
- You must also pass all sections of the UNIcert® III certificate examination in your chosen profile.
- 80% attendance is required to be eligible for a UNIcert® III certificate.
Course registration for the 2025/26 winter semester
Intensive course programme for the 2025/26 winter semester – registration begins on 17 November 2025
UNIcert® III exam dates – registration begins at the end of October 2025
UNIcert® III - university-specific certificate
Bremen University, the HSB, HSBHV and the HfK accept UNIcert® III as a C1 qualification.
Most academic institutions in Germany also accept UNIcert® III as proof of the language competence needed to fulfil the entrance requirement for a Bachelor's or Master's degree. The UNIcert® website contains a list of institutions which accept UNIcert®.
