Study Programs starting Winter Semester 2022/2023

Based on the continuous development of our mathematical study programs, there will be some changes and innovations in the Bachelor's and Master's programs starting from the winter semester 2022/2023.

Beside some small changes within the Bachelor's programs, where the current "Bachelor Technomathematik" will be replaced by the Bachelor's program "Industriemathematik", the most significant changes concern the current two Master's programs, which we explain now in more detail.

This English-language master's degree program prepares mathematicians for future requirements in science and on the global job market, where mathematicians are in demand not only in science, but also in almost all areas of the job market.

Unlike many other mathematics degree courses, this master's program is designed to be flexible and students can choose between two options. In the theory-oriented program, students deal with mathematical topics at the cutting edge of research within the framework of the special teaching format of reading courses, among other things. In the application-oriented variant, students study a second subject in addition to mathematics, such as biology, chemistry, electrical engineering, geosciences, computer science, philosophy, physics, production engineering, or economics. Whichever variant you choose, in both you will specialize in one of the mathematical fields of algebra, analysis, numerics or statistic/stochastic.
